The construction is "tambour", just like the old oak roll top desks. Only the fabric which acts like the hinge in on the outside of these counters. pstep1.gif (27500 bytes)
There are 2 patterns. One on the bottom which becomes hidden.

And one on the recessed edge of the top leaving only the laminate top showing.

Velcro loop on the fabric panel attaches to Velcro hook on the wooden patterns.

The ends of these can be opened at the show for storage. There are interior shelves for most designs.

Most will hold up to 250 lbs.
